Fishing Guide

Fishing Guide

Fishing is one of the main ways to get food in the game.
You can catch fish, cook them over a campfire, and keep your hunger and thirst levels in check.

🛠 How to Craft a Fishing Rod

The fishing rod becomes available at player level 1.
To craft it, you’ll need: 5 logs, 2 thatch, and 2 junk.

Open the crafting menu, create the rod, and equip it via your inventory.

🎯 How to Start Fishing

  1. Go to the edge of the water
  2. Equip your fishing rod
  3. The action button will change — tap the rod icon
  4. Two circles will appear on the screen:
    • The inner circle stays still
    • The outer circle expands and contracts

When the outer circle matches the inner one and turns orange, it means a fish has bitten the hook!
🎯 Tap the center of the screen or the action button quickly to catch the fish.

  1. If you miss the moment, the fish will escape — but you can cast again and keep fishing.

⚠️ Important Notes

🎣 The durability of your fishing rod decreases with every catch
🔥 To cook fish, use a campfire

🍽 Cooking Fish

• The rarer the fish, the more planks you'll need to cook it
• High-quality fish restore more hunger and thirst

🔥 Tip: Stock up on cooked fish before long journeys — it can save your life later.

📝 Summary

• The fishing rod is available from level 1
• Catch fish → cook them → survive longer
• Watch your rod’s durability
• Valuable fish = valuable benefits

⚓ A good rod and steady hands are all you need to survive the waves.
Good luck, fisher-nomads!
